Meet the Medical Care Providers at Huey & Weprin Ob/Gyn: Dr. James Huey, Dr. Stuart Weprin, Dr. Seema Sharma, Dr. Lindsay Bryd, and Jill Goff.
James Huey, M.D.
Dr. Huey is a board certified OB/GYN with over 30 years experience in clinical practice. After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1962 with a Bachelor’s Degree, Dr. Huey continued his education at Kentucky and graduated with his Doctorate of Medicine in 1966. He completed his rotating general internship and an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at David Grant U.S.A.F. Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California, followed by a fellowship at the Los Angeles County University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center. Finally Dr. Huey earned a Master’s degree in Administrative Medicine at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. In addition to his formal education, Dr. Huey conducted research as a founder and investigator in HWC Women’s Research Center.
Specializing in high risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery and women’s research studies, Dr. Huey is professionally associated with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Society of Ultrasound in Medicine. Locally Dr. Huey is affiliated with Kettering Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital, Sycamore Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Huey has held academic appointments at the University of Nebraska, Creighton University, Wright State University and the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Huey, and his wife Janet, reside in Dayton, they have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. In his spare time Dr. Huey enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, camping, and fishing with his grandson.
Stuart Weprin, M.D.
Dr. Weprin is a board certified OB/GYN who has been in private practice in Dayton for 33 years. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Chemistry from Case Western Reserve in 1971, and his Doctorate of Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1974. Dr. Weprin completed research as a Founder and Investigator in Huey and Weprin Women’s Research Center. Dr. Weprin completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus and his Urodynamic Preceptorships in Los Angeles, California, Ann Arbor, Michigan and Edmonton, AB, Canada.
Dr. Weprin has special interests in bladder problems and urinary incontinence, robotics and minimally invasive surgery, non-incision office tubal ligation and women’s research studies. He is professionally associated with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, Gynecologic/Urologic Society and Ohio State Medical Association. His hospital affiliations are with The Medical Center at Elizabeth Place, Kettering Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital, Sycamore Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital.
In addition to clinical practice, he has been an Associate Clinical Professor at Wright State University, Coordinator of Wright State University Medical School’s OB/GYN medical students, and Director of the Urodynamics Clinic at Wright State University School of Medicine. Dr. Weprin is a life-long resident of Dayton where he lives with his wife, Gail. They are the parents of 5 children and one grandchild.
Seema Sharma, M.D.
Dr. Sharma is a board certified OB/GYN who was born in England, and raised in India and Ohio. After earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Sharma earned her Doctorate of Medicine at the Ross University School of Medicine in 2006. Dr. Sharma then completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Dr. Sharma is happy to be back home in Southern Ohio area and part of the Huey Weprin OB/GYN team.
Dr. Sharma specializes in women’s health issues and is associated with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association, and the Ohio State Medical Association. Locally Dr. Sharma is affiliated with Kettering Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital, Sycamore Hospital, The Medical Center at Elizabeth Place, and Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Sharma and her husband, Dr. Parasram Ramdeo, a hospitalist at Miami Valley Hospital, have a young daughter and a son. Dr. Sharma is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. She is an active volunteer with the American Red Cross and other health organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and traveling.
Lindsey Byrd, D.O.
Dr. Byrd is a board certified OB/GYN who joined Huey & Weprin’s OB/GYN practice in September 2014. Dr. Lindsey Byrd began her undergrad at The Ohio State University and finished her degree at the California University of Pennsylvania. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a major in biology. Dr. Byrd then attended medical school at Ohio University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2010. Pursuing her goal in becoming a certified gynecologist, Dr. Lindsey Byrd completed her 4-year internship and residency at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in 2014, standing as chief resident from July 2013 to June 2014.
Dr. Byrd specializes in obstetrical ultrasound, minimally invasive surgery and in-office procedures relating to obstetrics and gynecologist practices. Raised in Farmersville, Ohio and currently residing in Englewood with her daughter, Dr. Lindsey Byrd loves to read, watch football and spend time with family when she’s not practicing medicine.
Jill Goff, CNP
Jill Goff, CNP, RNFA is a certified Women’s Health nurse practitioner with nearly 30 years experience.
Jill earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The Ohio State University. She worked as an infant intensive care nurse before continuing her training as a nurse practitioner in Philadephia, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Jill is a certified operating room nurse and RN First Assistant and regularly assists the physicians in surgeries, including hysterectomies and Caesarean sections.
Jill’s office spans covers the spectrum of women’s issues. She sees patients of all ages for pregnancy, contraception, menstrual problems, menopause issues and generally maintaining good health.
Jill has lived the majority of her life in the Englewood area. Married with one grown daughter and multiple dogs, Jill enjoys summer weather, hiking, working out, reading and spending time at the beach.
